Aloe spicata   (South Africa)

This aloe was formerly known as sessiflora.

Aloe spicata is ideal for a garden - this aloe grows easy, and the flowers gives a nice show without being too conspicuous.
The raceme is different to that of the usual aloe, the bright yellow stamens change the color of  the small densely packed cream flowers into yellow.
A. spicata does not make offshoots(pups).  Once planted this succulent aloe needs very little time and work to keep it neat.
This aloe comes from frost free areas, but I have seen them growing well where light frost occur.
Plant this aloe in a area of the garden under trees or near a wall, this will give protection against frost..
