made in Africa  aloes from seeds

photos of more than 20 different aloe plants gallery 2   I-Z

Keep in mind that aloes are succulents.  We cultivate the aloe plants on this page in basic soil.
Aloe mitriformis comes from a winter rainfall area and it is the only one on this page to flower in summer.
All other species are from summer rainfall and all adjusted to our winter rainfall without problem.
Aloe littoralis comes from an area where cold frost occur where it flowers early in autumn before frost strike.
These aloes can stand light frost when dry - however the blooms (racemes) may be damaged.
Watch out for any sign of ants.   They carry the aphids into the rosette and that is a very quick way to loose an aloe to  rot.
