Aloe comptonii  from South Africa

Aloe comptonii is an aloe with thick triangular leaves bordered in blunt round teeth

The raceme of  Aloe comptonii is capitate and the dense long flowers are red.   It blooms in spring.           
Aloe comptonii is another aloe  which differ somewhat according to locality.  Aloe comptonii plants are stemless in the Eastern Cape and may have a small stem to the west.
This succulent plant can  be harmed by frost, give it some protection under trees or against a wall.
The Aloe comptonii species on the photos are from the western region of the habitat.
Aloes are succulent plants, also known as fatplants. Given the right conditions they can be grown as a houseplant or as a potplant in the garden or greenhouse.
