Growing aloes in pots and containers is a popular hobby and we have seeds of  30+ different aloes for the hobby.        Cultivation of aloes in containers or pots click here
This hobby can be enjoyed inside or outside, in a flat or on a farm.   Space is not a prerequisite.

Succulent plants (fatplants) and aloes are easy to maintain and do very well as pot or container plants because they do not need a lot of soil around the roots.
The hobby does not need a lot of maintenance and the plants can be left without watering for extended periods.
The aloe plants can be brought indoors as houseplants, to decorate the home for a special occasion.
For the hobby - A few important points to remember.
When you water, water thoroughly.  Let the water run through into the saucer and discard that water. Make sure the pot is not standing in a saucer with water.
Do not water again until the pot is dry.  Do not mist or spray the leaves.
Take note !  Do not water a warm aloe plant in full sun.  To be safe, water in the morning or evening.
Succulents and aloes need very bright light, but never too close to a window as the sun through a window can be very hot and burn the plant.
Aloe plants prosper in good air circulation.    Stagnant air will cause rot in aloes.

Potting soil.
Mix stones/pebbles into the potting mix for drainage.  The plants need roughly 50% crushed dolomite, stones/pebbles and 50% (or less) potplant soil.  Finer stones for smaller pots.  Crushed Dolomite is recommended as it keeps the soil neutral to basic.

Fertilize when the plant is growing  and mix the fertilizer at 1/4 the strength recommended on the label
Do not use an insect garden pest spray that contains pyrethrums on the aloes or  succulent plants.
