Aloe falcata from South Africa |
Aloe falcata is also known as the sickle aloe due to the shape of the leaves |
| Aloe falcata plants send out offshoots to form a small group with the rosettes facing outwards. |
| This succulent aloe grows in an arid habitat with winter rainfall. |
| In a summer rainfall area it would be best to grow this aloe in controlled conditions where it will not receive water during the summer months and very little water in the winter. |
| Aloe falcata should be planted in a quick draining basic medium. Place some calcium stones and mix in dolomite gravel. This aloe is ideal for a desert or xeriscape garden. |
| A lovely medium sized aloe, well worth the challenge. |
| Aloes are succulent plants, also known as fatplants. Given the right conditions they can be grown as a houseplant or as a potplant in the garden or greenhouse. |
