| It can withstand very hot summers as well as frost, provided it is kept dry when it freezes. |
| The leaves of Aloe s. karasbergensis are pale blue-green, with a pink cast in full sun. |
| The inflorescens branch and rebranch to form many racemes with dark pink to red flowers. |
| Aloe s. karasbergensis needs very little water. In extreme conditions where it gets too much water the leaves may burst open and the plant will rot. |
| It is not a very difficult aloe to grow in the garden. Given good drainage it is easy to keep this plant as a potted plant, which is recommended for areas with high rainfall. |
