Aloe maculata  previously known as Aloe saponaria from South Africa

Aloe maculata plant is neat with showy flowers - ideal for a boarder in a garden.

This is a very hardy medium sized maculate aloe from a very wide habitat.
In a dry sunny climate the leaves of Aloe maculata are short and wide.  Plants from a wetter climate, especially when planted in shade,  has narrow long leaves.
Aloe maculata forms suckers freely.

Aloes are succulent plants, also known as fatplants. Given the right conditions they can be grown as a houseplant or as a potplant in the garden or greenhouse.
