Aloe secundifloria - Tanzania (Eastern Africa)

The rosette of Aloe secundifloria has broad dark green glossy leaves with black thorns around the edge,  on a short stem.
The racemes are more or less oblique.  The buds point upwards and turn sideways as they open.
This aloe is from a summer rainfall habitat.  It shows no sign of distress in our very dry  hot summers and there is no problem with this aloe in the wet winters in the winter rain climate either.
