Aloe vanbalenii (South Africa) |
| Aloe vanbalenii is very special in color. The flowers are yellow and the leaves of the rosette are a yellow-green with rusty red borders and shading. There is a pink flowering form. |
| This stemless aloe plants divide into clumps. The flowering time is mid winter which is not so good in very cold areas as the flower buds may freeze and die. |
| The long leaves make a graceful twist which gives the impression the rosettes are locked into a unit. |
| A relative large plant. Without a stem it is not high, but more than 1 meter across. |
| The plant can withstand frost, but the flowers will die. |
| This is another aloe plant that adjusted easy to winter rain. |

| Right:- The winter photo. One plant decided to keep the summer tint. Lovely "old gold" flowers. | |
