Tree clump. This photo was taken in the winter at sunset near Gobabis Namibia.

The first thing that any Namibian will notice is the lovely grass.  The red patches visible between the grass is a sand dune.  The colour of the sand is in reality a beautiful red. It seems odd  to run the sand through your fingers and your hand remains as clean as it was before.

As to Bonsai.  Most of the Acacia sp. are difficult to Bonsai.  There are many species in Namibia and it will not help taking a wild guess on the name of this tree.  The main trunk was damaged by wild animals, probably while it was still a relative young tree, after which the tree developed  new trunks to form a clump.
