Here are habitat photos of  a few Oxalis species with different colour flowers.  All from the winter rainfall area. click on the photos to enlarge.  The Oxalis species loose their leaves and disappear in the dry summer.

One common Oxalis species is mostly seen as a weed, but take a look at some beautiful rare endemic Oxalis species. The variation  is not only in the colour of the flowers, the leaves of the different species vary a lot as well.
